ISEE Test Prep Class

***The IN-PERSON classes for Class 1 and Class 1A are full…but we added a REMOTE learning option via Zoom for both of these classes! If registered for Class 1Z, Class 1AZ, or Class 2Z students will be able to attend the classes virtually through Zoom. They will have access to audio and video of the instructor, but will not be able to interact with the instructor***

Houston-area Catholic and private high schools require entrance exam test scores as a part of the admissions process.  Testing for admissions in the fall of 2022 begins in early November, 2021.

St. Thomas High School is once again offering classes for current eighth grade students in preparation for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).  The classes are coed and open to all students who intend to apply to those schools.

The classes provide tips and strategies, as well as instruction in the content areas tested:

• Reading Comprehension
• Verbal Reasoning
• Quantitative Reasoning
• Mathematics Achievement

A great majority of students who have taken the courses were admitted to their first choice school.

Instructors will be Mr. Rod Takacs, a veteran high school teacher and current Dean of Students at St. Thomas High School, as well as Mrs. Camille Hagerty, a former eighth grade teacher at St. Christopher School and in the Goose Creek and La Porte School Districts.

Currently, two sets of Saturday classes are scheduled.  The full course content is covered in each set of four classes.  The current schedule is as follows:
